She’s Going Places began with a simple but powerful belief: when you uplift a girl or a woman, you uplift an entire community.
What started as a local effort to provide support and essential resources to young women in California has grown into a global movement impacting girls and women across continents.
Founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, She’s Going Places was created to break generational barriers by expanding access to education, personal development, financial literacy, and global exposure. Our mission is rooted in empowerment and every program we build reflects the belief that women deserve the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to rise.
From Los Angeles to Ghana, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, and beyond, our work has fostered a global sisterhood of leaders, learners, and change-makers. Over the years, we’ve transformed this mission into action, allowing girls and women to learn, serve, and grow.

Our three core programs—Personal Development, Ambassador Travel, and Women’s Health (Hygiene Access) are intentionally designed to help girls and women build confidence, strengthen life skills, and access opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives.
Whether it’s a young girl discovering financial independence for the first time or a woman experiencing international travel and cultural exchange, She’s Going Places equips every participant with the tools to lead and thrive.
Our commitment is simple: to walk alongside women and girls as they step into their purpose. We are dedicated to equity, empowerment, and excellence ensuring that every initiative we launch is rooted in dignity, opportunity, and community support.

Empowering Women and Girls Through Real, Measureable Impact
Since our founding, She’s Going Places has been dedicated to uplifting young girls and women through education, leadership, wellness, and global exposure. What began as a grassroots effort in Compton has expanded into a movement creating life-changing impact across Los Angeles County and around the world.
Thousands of Hygiene Kits Distributed
We have provided over 10,000 hygiene kits to girls and women in need across California and in countries including Brazil, Nigeria, Colombia, and Germany. These kits support dignity, confidence, and access to everyday essentials.
Serving Underserved Girls in Compton & Los Angeles County
In the City of Compton, 4 in 7 women and girls live below the federal poverty line, and 60% of girls lack access to essential period supplies. Our programs directly address these inequities through health access, education, and basic-need resources.
Local Community Impact
We have reached girls and women across Los Angeles County, offering personal development, financial literacy workshops, professional coaching, and community support for women ages 14–40+.
Global Sisterhood & Travel Leadership
Through our Ambassador Travel Program, we have led cultural immersion and service experiences across four continents, connecting women to global leadership opportunities and cross-cultural understanding.
Women’s Health & Wellness Support
We have helped hundreds of women and girls stay in school, maintain dignity, and gain access to the health resources they need to thrive.
